About Us

CattleSales is an open international community of farmers, veterinarians, and breeders. We are building a unified knowledge base about animal breeds and a convenient marketplace where deals happen directly — without intermediaries or commissions: live livestock and poultry, meat, milk, feed and equipment, veterinary products and services.

Why we do this

The idea for CattleSales was born in 2024 in Bishkek. We saw farmers in Kyrgyzstan and neighboring republics lose time and money: some couldn’t find a rare breed, while others spent months looking for a buyer for breeding stock. Between them were dozens of messenger chats, bazaars, and ads in local newspapers. Information was scattered, language barriers made trade with neighbors difficult, and newcomers had no reliable source of data on breeds and vaccination.

Our mission is to make trade and knowledge sharing easier for farmers in Kyrgyzstan, the CIS, and worldwide. We are building not just a classifieds board, but a shared space where sellers, buyers, veterinarians, and livestock specialists meet.

What's inside

Marketplace — five feeds

Five independent ad feeds: live animals (cattle, small ruminants, horses, camels, pigs, poultry), meat, milk and dairy products (including koumiss, shubat, and kurt), feed/equipment/machinery, veterinary medicines and services. Posting is completely free: no sales commission, no hidden fees. An ad can be published in several countries at once — the home country, neighboring countries, and up to 15 other countries.

Breed wiki

1408 breeds — hoofed animals and poultry, including 80 pig breeds — with descriptions of characteristics, productivity, region of origin, and photos. The database is open for editing: every farmer can refine the characteristics or add a new breed that is not in the system. All edits go through moderation.

Chat and calls

Built-in messenger: chat with the seller directly from the listing, photos, voice messages, video clips, location. Audio and video calls within the platform with encryption — no third-party messengers and no disclosure of phone number. If the farmer does not answer, you can leave a voice message — it will arrive in their chat along with a text transcript.

Seller verification

A seller can verify their identity with a document and a selfie — after manual review by a moderator, a verification badge appears next to their listings. It is easier for the buyer to trust, and easier for the seller to sell.

Veterinary Module

A list of diseases, vaccines, and vaccination schedules. Helps farmers protect their herd and show buyers a transparent medical history for each animal.

AI Translations

Breed and listing descriptions are automatically translated into 43 languages — from Russian, English, and Chinese to Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Mongolian, and Amharic. A farmer in Ethiopia can read a profile of the Kyrgyz Alatau breed in their native language. The price is shown in a convenient currency with daily automatic exchange-rate conversion.

Mobile app

The Android app does everything the website does, plus push notifications for messages and incoming calls even when the app is minimized, sign-in via Google or WhatsApp without passwords, sharing listings by QR code, and the built-in farm game “Raise a Herd”. Openness and Community

CattleSales is not a closed startup. We believe the livestock knowledge base should belong to the community. Any farmer can add a breed, fix an error in a description, upload a photo, or share experience in the comments. Our moderation team reviews edits but does not censor opinions.

Global Visibility

We intentionally build for a global audience. The seller chooses which countries to show the listing in: the home country, neighboring countries with one tap, and up to 15 countries in total. Listings from neighboring countries are shown first — these are historically established trade ties: Kyrgyzstan with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Armenia with Georgia, Serbia with Bulgaria.

Team

We have been working from Bishkek since 2024. A small team — developers, farmer consultants, and translators. No investors, no outside advertisers. The project is self-funded and remains completely free for users.
